Second in our best-selling Zeppelin series covers all 17 of the improved R Class Zeppelins operated by the German Navy and Army during WWI. With over 100 rare archive images; six pages of colour plates; highly-detailed 1:350 scale fold-out plans with gondola GAs in 1:96, the book also includes markings data for all 17 airships, each and every one meticulously researched. The title runs to 76 pages with colour covers that include close-ups of L30 gondolas and engine cars preserved in Belgium. There are dramatic accounts chronicling the wartime exploits of each vessel: bombing raids, scouting missions and often fatal encounters with British aeroplane and Naval units. This fascinating study also presents a detailed analysis of typical Zeppelin construction based on official British reports of the intact L33 brought down in Essex in September 1916. There are colour photos of Zeppelin relics and close-ups of the preserved rear gondola from LZ113 in France. This is the ideal companion to Zeppelin! Volume One and we have a handful of file copies from our archives that have recently become available. All in very good condition, signed by the author and individually numbered-this copy is No.207 of 1000.
