WWI BRITISH AEROPLANE COLOURS AND MARKINGS!

HERE'S THE REAL DOPE!

Published in 1996, this 60 page Special by Bruce Robertson presents the fullest coverage of WWI British colours and markings data ever published ,with dozens of rare photos; line diagrams and colour plates providing typical examples of plain and camouflaged aeroplanes- including special finishes. This highly-acclaimed title has been out of print for many years but we now have very limited numbers on offer. VGC.

LAST remaining copies of our 1996- published classic by markings specialist Bruce Robertson and long out of print, this was the second in our Windsock Fabric Special series and sold out as quickly as its predecessor. We have found a couple of them during a recent de-clutter and so have virtually mint examples on offer for the very last time.

60 pages-including covers-offer great content with over 120 archive photos; over eight line illustrations plus 13 authentic colour plates on covers and centre pages showing examples of service aircraft in their correct colours and markings.

Topics include:

Construction materials; Doping and varnishing; Day camouflage and markings; Night camouflage and markings; Dazzle schemes; National markings; Serial numbers and positions; Engine markings; Airscrew markings; Component and detail markings along with Manufacturers' logos. Colour content includes a centre-fold plate and cover set of over a dozen various finishes, plus full Sopwith Salamander camouflage patterns and a table of fabric examples illustrating national markings from 1914 to 1918 with Methuen/FS/BS notations.
