The Volume 25, No.2 edition was our first all-colour edition and featured extra pages to exclusively review surprise introduction of four new 1:32 scale WWI aircraft kits with unprecedented quality and exceptional detail. The armoured Junkers J.I biplane; LVG C.VI; Hispano-Suiza powered RAF SE5a and the outstanding Bristol Fighter kits are all covered in depth with extensive stage-by-stage colour builds that showcase these ground-breaking model kits. The issue also revealed many other Wingnut Wings kits in preparation that made such a huge impression on the model world at the time and led to an extensive range of fighters, bombers, floatplanes and two-seaters that still enjoy a dedicated following today, ten years after the New Zealand company ceased operation. There is only one copy of this first edition available and is in prime condition...
VERY scarce copy of our extra-special all-colour Collectors' issue that heralded the arrival of the first four Wingnut Wings 1:32 scale kits in early 2009! This landmark edition was first to announce the WNW range and the first to provide fully-illustrated detailed build/reviews of all four kits: Junkers J.I; LVG CVI; RAF SE5A and Bristol Fighter. As well as the modelling guides,there were also a number of colour close-up reference photos for additional provenance and a quartet of Ronny Bar profiles on the back cover.This Vol.25, No.2 number also revealed the many mouth-watering kits to come, such as a 1:32 scale Gotha G.IV bomber no less; German fighters; large two-seaters and much else besides. We subsequently reprinted the issue due to demand, but the mint copy on offer is the original first edition and the very last in stock.Other kits featured in this issue included 1:48 scale Fokker Eindecker and Roland C.II from Eduard; Roden Junkers D.I plus three of their 1:32 scale WWI engine kits.
