THE Summer 1987 issue contains a photo feature on the Armstrong Whitworth FK.8 by J M Bruce and G S Leslie:ten great reference photos including a rare cockpit panel close-up.Elsewhere we present the original 1918 camouflage notes for the Sopwith Salamander trench fighter with photos and drawings for the unique pattern,while the editor converts the Airfix Hannover CL.III to the cleaned-up CL.V version and it's not as difficult as it looks. Step-by-step model build pictures are included along with five archive photos and a pair of contemporary airframe sketches. Highlight of this issue must be Steve Simkins'  1:72 scale centre-spread drawings for a German Drachen balloon supported by historical notes and photos.
