PETER M Grosz profiles the diminutive Fokker D.V trainer that helped German pilots convert from stationary-engined Albatros fighters to the rotary-powered Triplanes in 1917;23 archive photos plus 1:48 scale GAs from Ian Stair and colour notes complete the story.The second of a two parter Fabric column discusses the French five colour camouflage with two paint chips and Dan San Abbott looks at the Fokker D.VIIs of Ernst Udet with photos and three 1:72 scale monotone drawings showing the various markings applied to his first D.VII,then 2076/18 and finally,the famous BMW-powered D.VIIF 4253/18.Ray Rimell provides a full colour rear cover plate of the first Udet D.VII with its candy-striped upper wing.Some more great readers' models are showcased in this issue-both flying and non-flying-Harry Woodman supplies further Anatra archive images;plus plenty of book and kit reviews including re-popped Airfix classics like the Pup and SPAD plus Meikraft HB W.29.Another well-packed issue in good condition with minor creasing.
