THE RAF FE8 is the Autumn number's lead photo feature with 11 fine photos of this early RFC pusher fighter destined to be overlooked in favour of its superior DH2 contemporary.Similar treatment is accorded the German LFG Roland D.VI fighter with over a dozen rare images from Peter M Grosz, while Nick Forder continues his biography of Bentfield Hucks, pioneer British airman. Two unique double -page spreads showcase some great readers' models and rare Czech flying school studies of Albatros, LVG C.VI,Aviatik and a Voisin bomber. On other pages we present a small Fabric entry on French roundel colours complete with two paint chips, and Ray Rimell converts the Pegasus 1:72 scale Sopwith Snipe into the multi-coloured Salamander trench strafer complete with scale plans, model images and archive photos. There's a superb 1:6 scale R/C DH9A model described and the issue is crammed out with reader feedback, and reviews of classic WWI books, vacforms, decal sheets from Americal and early PE spoked wheel sets.Plenty of great adverts too-over seven manufacturers were offering large selections of short-run WWI kits at this time. One copy only-slight creasing but otherwise in a  good condition.
