WIND-SOCK Vol. 1, No.4 WINTER 1985
FINAL FILE COPY IN VERY GOOD CONDITION!
Another one for the true collector. This is the second issue of the original WIND-SOCK ,published 1985 and contains special DH4 features: a semi-scratched Rumpler C.IV plus paint chips; British RE7 canvas hangar plans and modelling notes plus kit, book and product reviews.
The second issue of WIND-SOCK was Winter 1985's Volume 1,No.4. In this edition,Gone West took a good look at all the DH4 models kits produced up to that year including plastic pioneers from AMT,Aurora and Airfix ,whilst Logbook reviewed The Cuxhaven Raid and the fourth Vintage Warbirds pictorial by J M Bruce covering the Bristol Fighter,a real WWI classic if ever there was one. Depot was written and illustrated by the editor with a 1:72 scale Rumpler C.IV semi-scratchbuilt model using Plastikard and Airfix Hannover wings-two paint chips completed the Rumpler colour guide of the previous issue. Our plans feature dealt with the early form of British RE7 canvas tent hangar with modelling ideas and 1:72 scale centre spread plans.Elsewhere, Paul Leaman weighed in with some of his DH4 colour notes from 1968 Airfix Magazine back numbers.Readers' models included an excellent Roland D.II powered control-line model from Australia and Matt Hargreaves' 1:72 scale Zeppelin in embryo! Two pages of kit and product reviews followed, plus a special review of the Novo [aka Frog] Anatra DS with three archive photos.
