AFTER our latest readers' models in colour, candid feedback columns and news, along with a spread of book reviews, the issue gets into gear with Alan D Toelle who looks at a rare UFAG KG flying boat rudder and provides a detailed analysis of the fabric paint.We take a nostalgic look at the very first WInd-Socks and begin a new series by Colin Owers on US Navy aircraft finishes and markings 1911 to 1926-the first part including a dozen archive images,a drawing of numeral fonts and sizes, along with a superb page of Curtiss N.9 colour profiles from Juanita  Franzi..We look back at the Merlin Roland D.II kit of 1985 before the editor gets to grips with another 1:32 scale Fokker Triplane kit -this one from Roden which initiated their welcome foray into large scale WWI kits.
