PFALZ
PFALZ!
'The first detailed story of the Company and its famous planes' ran the subtitle of this 1964 booklet authored by Peter Grosz and Egon Kruger. 24 pages plus hard covers, it presents over 55 archive images; historical notes; table of aircrafrt characteristics and seven pages of contemporary official rigging details. We have just one copy which shows some ageing but it is complete and a nostalgic glimpse into a time when good WWI aviation books like this were thin on the ground.
This rather careworn example is the only copy we have of a novel 24 page booklet on WWI Pfalz aircraft published by World War i Aero Publishers, Inc., in 1964. Written and illustrated by Peter M Grosz and Egon Kruger,it is a concise illustrated guide to the famous Pfalz German aircraft factory in WWI and its products.Illustrated with over 50 archive images from the authors' personal collections and each accurately captioned. There's a potted history of the company with statistical table of the aircraft and reproductions of the rare contemporary BB charts and rigging diagrams for the D.III; D.VII; D.VIII; D.XII; D.XIV and the Dr.I Triplane. All things considered, a lot of good info is packed into this modest monograph which was one of the first publications authored by Peter Grosz. One only copy in fair condition.
