No.26, THE DEHAVILLAND DH4
DAY BOMBER SUPREME
The robust twin-seat DH4 forms the subject of the 26th Profile with Jack Bruce providing the development history and combat career of this rugged and long-serving warplane. Photos reveal a range of examples illustrating myriad engine and rear fuselage decking variations and there are authentic colour profiles gracing both inner covers. For modellers of 1:72 scale Airfix and 1:48 scale Roden or Aurora kits, No.26 provides a goldmine of information.
Jack Bruce was the obvious choice of author for this splendid coverage of the de Havilland DH4 bomber. This meticulously-researched study includes over two dozen rare images from the erstwhile GSL/JMB Collection together with tabular data including specifications; weights; performance and sub-contractors of which there were many. Published in 1965 the booklet includes a colour five-view of F.5706 from No.202 Squadron on the inner front cover position. To the rear, where seven individual DH4 aircraft are presented including a post-war cabin version.
