No.18, THE HAWKER FURY

CAMM'S CLASSIC!

FRANK Mason wrote this stand-out Profile on one of the most attractive and distinctive of all pre-war RAF fighters with detailed narrative, evocative photos and detailed appendices. This concise chronicle can be firmly recommended to anyone building a model of the Fury regardless of scale. Colour plates on the inner covers illustrate a great selection from a five-view of K5682, a late series training machine based at RAF College Cranwell, to three Persian examples powered by radial engines. Our copies are in good condition with mild creasing in some places.

AUTHOR of Profile Publications No.18 was the accomplished and highly respected aero-historian Francis K Mason. His excellent and learned narrative covers the Hawker Fury's design; service deployment and later developments-all supported by detailed tabular appendices. Over 20 carefully-selected photos, many showing this beautiful Sydney Camm design in its natural element, emphasise the clean lines, brightly-polished metal panels and colourful RAF unit markings that typified this racy-looking biplane fighter. Inner cover colour views illustrate RAF Furys from Nos.1, 25 and 43 Squadrons in their varied Flight colours and associated tail fin decor. Other subjects include an overall Trainer Yellow trainer circa 19398; a camouflaged Munich Crisis Mk.1 and three Persian examples with varied radial engines none of which did much for aesthetics! Our copies are in good condition with minimal creasing.
