'PUSHING THE ENVELOPE'...

SOLE remaining first edition of our 18th WINDSOCK DATAFILE profiling the amazing RAF FE2b two-seat pusher with some great archive service photos, detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale plans' plus plenty of close up images and factory sketches. Includes colours and markings data with three rear cover profiles. Slight creasing and fading on outer covers but intact and now highly collectible.

OUR first ever look at the amazing Royal Aircraft Factory FE2b two-seat pushers was in 1989 when the late Jack Bruce penned this highly informative monograph devoted to a type that whilst appearing antiquated on its Western Front debut in late 1915,bomber versions were still going strong by the Armistice three years later! In 28 pages, plus covers, the author presents a full history of the 'Fee' with nearly 50 rare archive photos and detailed captions ably supporting the narrative. At least 15 of the images showcase cockpit and engine details plus  multiple machine gun and bomb loads that this surprisingly rugged and reliable biplane carried to war. There are four pages of detailed sketches from the Rigging Manual and a detailed colours and markings section along with three colour profiles on the rear cover. Ian Stair presents highly detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale general arrangement drawings and the book is rounded off with technical data and appendices. Slight browning of the outer covers but otherwise in VGC!
