No.157, THE BREGUET 14
BIG AND BEEFY!
This 1967-published Profile (No. 157 in the series) covers one of France's finest aircraft of WWI, the Breguet 14 two-seater which was produced in two variants-the 14A2 being the recon' version whilst the 14B2 was used for bombing. Both began to equip French escadrilles in mid 1917. Our copies are a little careworn but complete with extra pages and photos together with great colour profiles on inner covers.
THE French Breguet twin seaters were produced in two main versions: the 14A2 being the reconnaissance variant whilst the 14B2 took over the bombing role. Both began equipping French units in Summer 1917 and proved formidable combat aeroplanes going through a number of modifications during the war. Fielded by French and American squadrons the Breguet 14 did sterling service right up until the Armistice. Production continued to 1927-over 8000 eventually being built-with the aeroplanes serving many other nation's air forces and also successfully converted for civilian transport use. Jack Bruce and Jean Noel co-authored this expanded Profile with over 40 photos and ten examples profiled in colour on inner pages.
