This massive 32mm x 24mm 226 page special issue of the highly regarded French Icare revue de l'aviation francaise is dominated by historical anecdotes, histories and scores of rare photos devoted to Captaine Georges Guynemer and a history of the famed Storks escadrille. There are colour profiles and colour plates carefully selected for this edition and practically every known photo taken of the famous French ace can be found in its packed pages. The content is expansive and covers other notable French fliers but Guynemer takes centre stage and although the text is exclusively French, for non-speakers the generous pictorial content alone is well worth the investment.
