GUILLOW'S SPAD VII

FRENCH SPAD!

This was  Guillows kit No.102 in their popular series of WWI Authentic scale flying models first released in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This is a very good example of their SPAD VII and is complete sans rubber 'motor'. Although designed to have the correct zero dihedral, for flight stability this will need to be incorporated.

According to the box art this is a French SPAD and it's actually the early VII version. This 1957 dated kit is complete with all balsa die-cut sheets, strip wood, ply firewall for Cox .02 power, tissue covering,  vacform pilot, decal sheet and plastic parts:radiator shell; airscrew and wheels. The usual working plans are supplied along with patterns for scale details and colour notes. The kit is in very good condition but lacks the rubber band which perished years ago. Otherwise it's all there ready and  waiting for your building board! On completion the model spans just 18'' and is scaled approximately to 11/16'' to the foot.
