Another great flying scale model from the 1960's is realised by this Rumpler two-seater of WWI produced by Guillow's of the USA. Kit comes complete with all balsa parts, tissue covering material, plastic accessories etc. to finish the model. Contains spare wheels and decal sheets.-a real bargain!
One of Guillow's most popular German subjects was their 1964 24'' span German Rumpler C-5 free-flight balsa and tissue flying scale model. The kit actually portrays the C.IV version and builds into an accurate model of this superb WWI two-seater. Spanning 24'' on completion, the model is scaled at 9/16'' to the foot and with the original design's long nose,ample dihedral and large area tail surfaces allows modellers to create a pretty stable flyer without compromising scale accuracy.The kit includes all the necessary balsa and tissue content to complete it with and 3-ply undercarriage legs,tail skid and engine former for those wishing to power it up.There is a vacform sheet of detail parts for cockpit coamings,nose cap,crew and rear gun plus radiator and a spare. The contents are virtually mint with only the printed instrument panel missing from the assembly notes. However the kit does have two sets of plastic wheels and two sets of decals included. Plastic airscrew and rubber motor complete the content.
