GUILLOW'S FOKKER DR-I TRIPLANE!

FLYING FOKKER!

This is one of Guillow's large flying scale models in their popular WWI series and is the original 1960 issue. The contents are complete and in very good order with all the balsa and plastic parts required. Original red tissue was not supplied and so we have included a packet of brand new commercial model aeroplane covering tissue just for this kit. For stable flight some dihedral needs to be introduced to the wings which although unsightly will definitely improve the flight characteristics! One only.

First released in 1960, this was one of a series of larger scale WWI flying models from Guillow's. Kit 204 was the FOKKER DR-I TRIPLANE and spanned 20'' (50.80 cm) on completion making it scaled at roughly 3/4'' to the Foot. This example is in near mint order with full-size plans incorporating scale details and modelling guides; die-cut balsa fuselage formers wing ribs, etc., plus a bundle of strip wood; vacform cowling, rotary engine and pilot; full decal sheet ; plastic airscrew and  metal shaft; rubber motor with a die-cut plywood firewall for power conversion to .020 gas motor. Hard plastic wheels are also provided. What our sample did lack was the original red tissue covering so we have replaced this with a brand new quality EZETISSUE package of red tissue, unopened and with full instructions.
