WRITTEN and illustrated by Ray Rimell, this unique 92 page soft-cover Dinosaur modelling book was published by Kalmbach Books of the USA in 1998. We have a few remaining signed copies of this now rare title available from the shop and all are in good condition.
Liberally illustrated throughout in monochrome with 16 large colour plates, the book covers basic assembly, conversions and improvement of all forms of scale model dinosaur kits:plastic,vinyl and resin. There are descriptions of modifications, diorama displays,use of suitable scenic materials and a detailed discussion of painting and colouration.The book is packed with modelling and painting techniques and is easy to read with large step by step photos and several diagrams adding greatly to the content.Latex-based Pterosaur wings and spiny crests are also explained as well as adding extra details such as glass eyes and so much more.
