ARDPOL 1:72 RESIN PFALZ D.VIII
The classic late war Pfalz D.VIII is beautifully created by Ardpol in an ultra-fine resin kit that comes with a choice of two decal options. This tiny German fighter design is extremely well crafted in resin with the closely-spaced wing ribs appearing particularly realistic; same goes for the minuscule tail surfaces. The diminutive fuselage shells are equally impressive as is the detailed 160-hp Siemens Halske Sh III rotary engine under the delicate cowling with its distinctive cut-outs and reinforcement seams faithfully rendered in demanding 1:72 scale. An exceptional kit with detailed interior and two separate airscrews for the four-bladed lapped original.
Markings are included for Paul Baumer's well-known Jasta 2 example although the rear blue bands of the fuselage chevron markings need to be overpainted black and modellers will also be required to source four-and/or five-colour lozenge decals to complete the model. We have just the one kit available in mint order...
