ALBATROS ANNALS!
FROM Australia in 1971 came this excellent mini-guide to the legendary Albatros fighters of WWI written and illustrated by noted aero-historian Charles Schaedel. Published by Kookaburra, it packs an amazing amount of information within in its 28 pages with 38 photos;1:48 scale drawings of each type; an Albatros D.Va cutaway; colour notes with monotone profiles plus colour art on the rear cover. As a special addition are a number of Albatros decals in 1:48 scale from used kits and a complete 1995 set by AeroMaster Decals of the USA offering four colourful examples.

SECOND edition of Kookaburra's Technical Publications series from 1971, is Albatros Scouts Described by Charles Schaedel. His A5 format soft cover book contains 24 pages within its colour covers and describes the D.I to D.Va fighters with over three dozen photos-including three in colour of the AWM survivor-together with three pages of monotone profiles showcasing a range of colour schemes with detailed notes. In addition, the book contains 1:48 scale GAs of each type researched and drawn by the author, there's an annotated D.Va cutaway, as well.as rear cover D.Va colour profiles. Our copy is in good condition for its age with some slight wear on the covers- but complete.

Inside the book are a number of Albatros 1:48 scale decal sheets with spare D.III sets from Smer and Glencoe kits, plus a mint copy of AeroMaster Decals' 48-182 with four choices of markings including a brace of D.III fighters from Jagdstaffeln 5 and 49,plus a pair of D.Va versions: Ltn. Josef Raesch's aircraft of Jasta 13 and D.7352/17 of Jasta 59 flown by Ltn. Lehmann. Full instructions come with this two sheet package.
