NEW! FOKKER F.I/DR.I Model Special by Ray Rimell/ Richard Alexander

Jack M Bruce's meticulously-researched 60 page opus on the famous British de-Havilland two-seater of WWI features more than 140 archive photos, over a dozen colour profiles, handbook sketches and seven pages of scale drawings. It stands as the  perfect tribute issue to the author as this sadly proved to be the last work he produced for us.

Heartfelt thanks Jack for all your hard work over so many years...

Although many other WWI de Havilland designs are covered in our extensive DATAFILE monograph series-the DH1;DH2;DH5;DH6;DH9;DH9A;DH10,etc.,only extended Special treatment is really good enough for the doughty DH4 and this book represents the fruits of several years' labour by its talented team of contributors.The 'Four' richly deserves such extra effort and this expanded 60 page survey of the type provides un-matched reference for both modellers and aero enthusiasts alike.Complementing Jack Bruce's meticulously-researched narrative are detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale plans of Eagle- and Puma -powered examples by Ian Stair; over 140 archive photos (including many great close-ups); 13 brand new colour profiles by series editor Ray Rimell;
contemporary handbook sketches,official rigging notes, detailed colour data from Bruce Robertson and fully comprehensive specifications,service use history and a bibliography.It was intended that this would be the first in a two-part study but author Jack Bruce sadly passed away before the second volume could be completed; and so this DH4 Special stands as a testimony to his outstanding reputation as one of this country's finest WWI aero historians...
