Published in 1986,Dennis Hyland's fully illustrated biography of Leutnant Werner Voss, one of Germany's most famous airmen of The Great War. Here's his full story illustrated with over 45 photos from family albums to the final days following his death with photos of wreckage from the famous kite-marked Fokker Triplane. Brian Knight contributes the magnificent cover painting and rear cover aspects of 103/17- soon to be kitted by Wingnut Wings,and there's a double page pull-out profile of Voss' equally iconic Albatros D.III by Ray Rimell,signed by the artist.This issue sold out very quickly,the first in the short-lived Aeroplanes and Aces series, and has been long out of print. We have this last remaining file copy for sale,slightly browning edges to a few pages but complete and otherwise in near mint condition.32 pages including covers,this book contains a full list of Voss' victories and the British Intelligence report on Triplane 103/17.
