79. Rumpler C.I
£8.95
The Rumpler C.I enjoyed one of the longest wartime careers of any German C.class machine, lasting from late 1915 right up to the Armistice and beyond when many of them served with other nations' emergent air arms. Built under licence by seven manufacturers, Rumpler C.I production had exceeded over 2000 by the war's end.Universally popular with its crews, the C.I was employed on virtually every battle front and performed exemplary service as an advanced trainer following its Front line withdrawal.Due to its longevity, the surviving photo record is extensive and Peter Grosz presents an unrivalled pictorial tribute to the type which is long overdue. 1:48 and 1:72 scale plans take up the centre pages and there are detailed colour notes with three rear cover profiles by Ray Rimell.
