USED to great effect by many pilots of the Entente in WWI, the rugged SPAD 7C.1 was one of the finest fighter aeroplanes of the war and served with distinction right up to the Armistice. It was built in Britain by two manufacturers: Mann Egerton and the Bleriot & Spad Aircraft Works, as well as in Russia by Dux. Jack Bruce offers the historical background with detailed and informative captions to accompany the many excellent photos of the type spread over 26 pages.
