48.THE AMC DH2  


 No. 24 Squadron RFC were the World's first ever fighter squadron to enter service and they went to war  in 1916 with the DH2.Designed by Geoffrey deHavilland, the DH2 played a leading role in defeating the Fokker monoplanes and maintained the RFC's superiority over the Somme battlefields. DH2 specialist  Barry Gray relates the whole fascinating history with the aid of over 85 rare photos.
