32004, BRISTOL F.2B FIGHTER, 2009.
SPECIAL WNNW BRISTOL FIGHTER OFFER!
THIS Bristol F.2a, one of the earliest Wingnut Wings 1:32 scale WWI kits released in 2009 along with the Junkers J.I; SE5a and LVG.C.VI [also soon to be available on this webstore], remains the best 'Biff' kit ever committed to plastic. The one on offer is in mint condition with all plastic parts, 14-piece PE detail set and decal sheets in their original un-opened polythene bags-only the instruction manual sleeve having been opened. Although there are no after-market items included with this one, we do have a truly exclusive bonus item-an original 1918-dated piece of Bristol Fighter clear-doped fabric! This really rare slice of aeronautical history features a fragment of rib tape, a drain hole and stencilled typical Bristol component logo with A.M.A doping scheme markings. *One-time offer only...
* CONTAINS EIGHT PAGE BUILD LOG IN FULL COLOUR!
RELEASED in April 2009, the Wingnut Wings Bristol F.2b Fighter was an extraordinary model kit in so many ways and surprisingly easy to build considering the suspended lower wing, highly-detailed cockpits and multi-piece Rolls Royce Falcon powerplant. Our specimen is in mint condition with all eight runners bearing the 174 parts, expansive decal sheet, and 26 page instruction manual aside, still encased in their original sealed factory bags. There are some minor creases on the box corners but these are barely apparent. The WNW 'Biff', as with the other three kits released concurrently in 2009, was the subject of a detailed build log in a special edition of WINDSOCK Worldwide [Vol.25,No.2] which quickly sold out-twice. With that in mind we have provided scans of the relevant pages included alongside the accompanying descriptive images and there also are hard copies inside the box for good measure.
*EXTRA-SPECIAL BONUS ITEM!
Also in the box is a genuine WWI section of clear-doped 1918 Bristol Fighter fabric measuring 490 x 52 mm-complete with rib tape with typical frayed edges and an adjacent drain hole eyelet. As well as its historical value for collectors, the colour of the doped and un-doped fabric will be invaluable for those aiming for an authentic colour finish. The section has the usual Bristol manufacturer's logo together with A.M.A doping scheme stencils that proved short-lived being superseded by the end of 1918. This rare relic is unique to our kit...
