Our kit is complete with everything still sealed in original factory polythene bags and includes five choices of markings, a PE detail sheet and superb instruction manual setting the standard for many amazing models produced by the New Zealand manufacturer for over a decade. The kit sold out in May 2018, and ours includes exclusive bonus items in the form of four unique resin groundcrew figures; Master Models Parabellum set and complete colour build log from the March/April 2009 edition of WINDSOCK Worldwide.

THE first ground-breaking 1:32 scale Wingnut Wings kit, progenitor of an amazing and diverse series of WWI classic aeroplanes, was the armoured Junkers J.I biplane of 1917 released in April 2009 along with three other equally impressive models. With a wing spanning an impressive 490mm, this was a big kit and a weighty one due to the large corrugated wing panels. The outer wing sections were designed to be left unglued and easily removed by modellers with limited shelf space. The J.I was subject of an in-depth build log published in the Vol.25, No.2 edition of WINDSOCK Worldwide-an issue now long sold out. For newcomers to these early Wingnut kits we have included colour copies of the nine page feature that includes close-up details of the sole survivor in Canada. Moulded detail overall is exceptional and the 152 part model proves simple to construct thanks to precise fit of parts and the exceptional instruction manual with its myriad illustrations; detailed colour notes and superb Ronny Bar profiles. The kit also includes a PE detail sheet and an expansive decal sheet with five markings' options.
Content of our example is absolutely mint with every one of the parts' frames; decals; PE and instruction manual still secured in their original sealed packaging. The box has suffered from a small punctured tear which has been repaired from beneath.
*BONUS ITEMS! Included in the box are four resin ground figures, part of a set that were originally designed to be included with 'Special Editions' of the WNW kits that were never produced. These unreleased resins are prototypes by various sculptors and now quite rare items... Also provided in the box is an unopened MasterModel PE Parabellum LMG 14 [AM-32-024] with pre-rolled fretted cooling jacket to graft onto the kit stock.
