GROUND-BREAKING GOTHA!
FIRST in a series of superb 1:72 scale WWI German Gotha models from Roden of the Ukraine*, this kit provides parts and decals for the G.II and G.III versions and contains over 240 well-detailed parts. Many of these are common to later versions that followed in the wake of this initial 2001 release so there's plenty of spares to be squirrelled away. Accurate in outline, the top-notch kit contains a complete fuselage gun tunnel with plenty of cockpit parts and clear window transparencies. Decals for three aircraft are provided, including the dramatic skull-emblazoned 389/16 of Kaghol II in dark green camouflage. The contents of our example remain in mint condition within their slightly battered box.

THIS excellent 1:72 scale kit of the famous WWI German Gotha G.II/G.III bomber was released in 2001 by Roden and contained over 240 detailed finely-moulded parts spread over seven packed frames.Overall, it's an accurate well-moulded kit with a detailed interior and full bomb load including racks.Twin Mercedes engines are exquisite with correct style exhausts/manifolds and alternative engine nacelle configurations are on offer. There are a number of left-over parts as a result of Roden's clever use of duplicate frames destined for subsequent kits offering different versions of the Gotha. With full instructions and a three-option sharply-printed decal sheet,this is without doubt the best WWI bomber kit ever produced and that accolade still stands. We have a single example of the kit which is in mint condition, all parts being re-packed in polybags inside a very slightly creased box.
