Developed from the Albatros C.XII ( See Windsock Datafile No.126),the J.I infantry support aircraft boasted a redesigned fuselage armoured with 5mm steel palate.Powered by the 200-hp Benz Bz. IV engine over 240 entered service in 1917/1918 for ground attack duties.Two Spandau guns were installed for the pilot's use at 45 degrees for shooting forward and downwards. This superb resin kit is exquisitely detailed inside and out with fully -appointed cockpit and a superb one-piece engine. This is the German version of the two seater but we have included extra decals for a Polish example operated post war,plus a bonus Ardpol DFW C.V sheet. The many resin parts are secured in five polybags and are as purchased in mint order.
