1:72 ARDPOL LVG C.VI RESIN KIT!
LATE WAR LVG...
Possibly one of the most well-known late WWI German two-seat aircraft is the LVG C.VI for which a large number of kits are available, but this is by far and away the best 1;72 scale version. Superbly detailed and crisply cast this little gem also includes a PE detail set and decals for Polish and German machines.
This oft-kitted subject has never been bettered in 1:72 than by Ardpol of Poland whose kit No.72-048 sets the gold standard. The fuselage and wing treatment is beautifully handled and the myriad smaller detail parts provide all you need for a really first class miniature. PE parts provide for the wing centre-section mounted radiator;instrument panel and the one piece 200-hp Benz is an extraordinary piece in its own right. The upper wing shows minor warpage which can be alleviated by restrained heat such as a hair dryer or hot water but the part is extremely fragile and warrants some careful handling- and that goes for the other smaller parts too. The decals provide markings for C.VI 1510/18 with its white Comet fuselage marking and an ex-German C.VI 1505/17 in post war Polish service.
