AN AIRFIX AVRO SPECIAL!

ONE of several re-issues of the 1967 Airfix Avro 504 was this boxing from France which included alternative decals to the original issue, featuring the RAF Museum's well-known PC.10 doped E447 and an aluminium-doped RAF trainer serving in Egypt during the early 1920s. Contents are mint with the light grey moulded parts complemented by several carefully-selected cream-coloured spares from the 1967 kit, along with a second decal sheet that carries colourful insignia for a Swedish Naval example. The box also contains an-as new Print Scale decal  package with over a dozen colourful options graphically illustrated on a detailed colour-printed leaflet showcasing all the options. Entire contents are in mint condition, the unique package representing excellent value with its numerous extras.

*CONTAINS EXTRA PARTS  & BUMPER DECAL SELECTION!

THIS is a re-issue of a reissue (01048-5-released in 1978 with its evocative box-top by Ken McDonough), and originates from France in a somewhat larger box bearing revised typography-not your usual Airfix style. Like its seventies predecessor, parts are moulded in pale grey that suit one of the markings' options-a post war rebuild of No.4 FTS based in Egypt during the 1920s in typical period aluminium dope finish. The second option is E449, well-known to those visiting the RAF Museum in Hendon. The original decal sheet is complemented by colour profiles and Humbrol call-outs thanks to a spare painting guide from a 1978 boxing. In addition, we have included an almost identical extra sheet from the 2005 issue which now includes national markings for a Swedish Naval Air Service 505K circa 1921.

*BONUS ITEMS! Our kit also provides a few cream-coloured spares culled from the first release:cowling; airscrew; wheels and tailplane halves, plus all strut and undercarriage pieces. Best of all though,is   Print-Scale's 72-380 decal set perfect for the Airfix kits that offers a dozen alternative colour finishes for British, Ukrainian and Soviet examples. These decals are of high quality and come with a detailed A4 sheet of colour profiles with descriptive notes alongside each example. Some great choices here, with clear-doped RFC/RAF/RNAS trainers and three dark-painted Soviet machines with their eye-catching Red Stars, stripes and slogans. All plastic parts and all decals are as new-in mint condition-with only the box showing some slight wear...
