151. ALBATROS D.V/D.VA Vol.1

ALBATROS,ALBATROS...!

40 pages plus covers, this is a brand new take on an old favourite. The German WWI  Albatros D.V/D.Va fighters have always been popular with kit manufacturers since the 1950s and still are with thousands of modellers the world over. Colin Owers presents this fresh look at the D.V in Datafile 151 which includes 90 archive images and over 36 colour airframe close-ups, brand-new detailed scale drawings and colour plates forming one impressive reference package. One only in mint condition.

Written by renowned Australian aero historian Colin A Owers in 2012, this was the first of a two volume set describing the Albatros D.V and D.Va German fighters of WWI that ran to 40 pages plus covers. The book provides excellent coverage of this famous aeroplane that formed the backbone of many a Jasta in 1917-1918 and effectively flown by Germany's top kanone. With over 90 monochrome period photos and over three dozen colour close ups of the exacting TVAL airworthy reproductions, this is a modeller's goldmine but that's not all. Martin Digmayer's highly detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings of the D.V, plus 1:32 scale cockpit/structure internals and engine details grace the six page middle section whilst Ronny Bar presents three pages of all new-colour profiles.  Another great addition to the Albatros stable...
