THIS is a complete Merit SE-5A kit with all original 30 parts, decals and instruction sheet but no box, so we've bagged it all up Aurora/Playcraft-style with our own unique card header and backed it with superb box art from Marusan's 1968 Merit clone! That's not all, for this unique presentation also includes these four classic published references for the type:
*Four page plans feature from the December 1957 edition of AeroModeller with George Cox's 1:48 scale views plus a short history; sketch-page of details covering cockpit; tail skid; rigging; radiator and undercarriage.
* Fold-out blueprints of three-view scale plans plus nine component detail drawings from Aeroplane Monthly Vol.2,No.2, February 1974.
*Large 4 x A4 size double-sided wall poster-with some corner damage-showcasing John Batchelor's four-view profiles and detailed colour cutaway showing plenty of internal structure plus cockpit and engine areas exposed-all fully annotated. Presented with the first issue of Purnell's History of the First World War partwork from 1970. On the flip side is a facsimile plan view from original RAF SE5A (Hispano) factory drawing number A16391SE5A-a rare item in itself.
*Profile Publications No.1, THE SE5A by J M Bruce published in 1965. With photos, text and colour profiles on inner covers. Some wear and tear but it's complete in every respect.
