This excellent all-resin kit from Poland's Karaya was their very first 1:48 scale WWI kit and it's a good one! With PE parts and a multi subject decal choice spread over four sheets, this is a really super kit of the Italian Ansaldo A.I Balilla fighter biplane so popular with enthusiasts and model manufacturers. Poland's Karaya company is one of the most popular of those East European kit manufacturers producing fine resin kits of WWI aircraft subjects. Their 14800 released in 2004 provides an accurate and highly-detailed model kit of a famous Italian fighter biplane, the Ansaldo A.1 Balilla that served its country well in the war and several others post Armistice. These included Polish and Russian air force units and the kit's generous four-sheet decal suite has markings for two examples from each plus a pair of Italian Squadriglia versions.The resin parts are of high quality throughout with fine detail, superb rendition of fabric-covered areas, reinforced struts and undercarriage plus a neat PE sheet providing radiator grille; instrument board; seat; windscreen and spoked wheels. It's a complete a kit as you could wish for in 1:48 scale and we have one left in VGC.
