1:48 DRAGON D.VII PACKAGE!
DRAGON (DML) Fokker D.VII (Kit No. 590-5) one of the acclaimed 'Knights of the Sky' series produced in the early 1980s and among the most attractively packaged WWI kits ever produced. We have one mint boxing of this kit that provides photo etch struts and cockpit details together with 'Spandau' cooling jackets. Kit-supplied decals feature one of the colourful red/white Jasta 18 machines as depicted on the excellent box art. The kit also includes two sets of alternative engine panel versions with neatly-rendered louvres. But our example also comes with five extra decal sheets that can be used on this fine model viz:
* Pegasus German 5-colour lozenge panels in both upper and lower patterns.
*Print-Scale 48-025 with markings for five examples from Jastas 10,15,43 and a pair of Jasta 65 machines, providing the eye catching Seven Swabians fuselage decor of D.VII OAW 4649/18, and "U.10"-marked OAW-built 4635/18 flown by Ltn. Beaulieu-Marconnay. This set also provides 'lozenge' decals and myriad stencilling...
*Life-Like Decals 48-043 Fokker D.VII Part 4 with Fok.D.VII 323/18F of Jasta 11 in Willi Gabriels' well known markings;with Jasta Boelcke, Jasta 19 and MFJ III examples, plus full colour painting guides, accurate notes and annotated plan views.
* Two sets from the Eagle Strike Flying Circus Fokker D.VII series,parts V and VI (Nos.48188 and 48189 respectively). Between them are a wide choice of eight exotic examples including the colourful mounts of Goerth,Degelow ,Raesch and Riedl for Jagdstaffeln MFJ III,40,43 and 19:black and red-painted D.VIIs flown by Jacobs of Jasta 7,Hohn's Jasta 21 Albatros-built D.VII with full black/white stripes, Blume's Jasta 9 machine and the ever-popular Raben D.VII from Jasta 18.
