THE recently-released 1:48 scale Bristol Bulldog kits from Airfix have really raised the bar for vintage aircraft subjects with their overall accuraccy; finely-moulded details, extensive cockpit details and sublime engine components. With three choices of RAF Squadron aircraft, fully annotated instruction leaflet plus colour drawings and rigging diagrams, it could hardly be better! Our kit is as-new with all parts re-bagged and containing some classic Bulldog references in the box -all supplied as free bonus items!

IT took over 57 years for a kit manufacturer to finally eclipse the 1:48 scale Inpact Bristol Bulldog, and fittingly it befell another great British company to accomplish it! The Airfix Bulldogs released in 2025/2026 are among the finest 1:48 scale biplane plastic kits produced thus far and have rightly earned universally high praise from many modelling pundits. This is the Mk.IIa version and like its companion kit, highly complex, as befits its subject, and that there are over 70 assembly stages of the instructions gives a measure of the detail and features incorporated into 138 precision parts. With alternative undercarriage; exhaust, wheels and a multi-piece Bristol-Jupiter engine, there's lots to do and the overall finesse is much to the toolmakers' credit. An extensive decal sheet is equally impressive with three RAF options from Nos. 3; 23 and 32 Squadrons, each featuring the appropriate unit decor. Full colour instructions are provided along with detailed rigging sketches. In short, it's a masterpiece...
