143. Late Gotha Bombers
THE early Gotha G.III-G.V series of German bombers are well known, their exploits bombing Britain by day and by night in 1917/1918 having been duly recorded within our catalogue of titles. In DATAFILE No.143, Australian aero-historian Colin A Owers covers the various late-war Gotha designs that followed - the GL.VII, G.VII, G.VIII and G.IX. This is the first time these relatively obscure versions have ever been covered in depth and over 75 rare photos are presented: among them several full page detail images, offering modellers truly unique and valuable reference. Marty Digmayer provides eight pages of hyper-detailed 1:72 and 1:48 scale plans for the GL.VII, whilst Ronny Bar's excellent rear cover profiles and Jerry Boucher's stirring cover of the Ukrainian 'Elena' completes this compelling new monograph. For those modelling the 1:72 scale Bat Project plastic kits of the GL.VII, DATAFILE No.143 is an absolute must-have! Although the title officially sold old out in August 2019 ,we have a few of the very last file copies available for a limited period.
