14. RAF BE2e

 'IMPROVING' THE BREED...

51 archive photos and 28 historical close-ups of the sole surviving example before it went to New Zealand. With 1:48 and 1:72 scale plans by Ian Stair together with colours and markings notes to support the editor's three rear cover colour profiles.

THE  revised version of the Royal Aircraft Factory -designed  BE2c was not a huge success but enjoyed wide service on the home front both as an unlikely night fighter and more usefully as a training machine. Jack M Bruce's classic DATAFILE provides 51 archive photos as well as 28 archive close-ups of the sole surviving example of a genuine RAF BE2e when originally displayed  at the Mosquito Museum near Hatfield long before it went to New Zealand to be restored to full flying condition and join the TVAL fleet. This monograph also includes 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Ian Stair, as well as three rear cover colour profiles by Ray Rimell.
