Beautifully detailed inside and out, this fabulous kit builds into a truly impressive scale model of the classic WWI German twin-engined bomber providing a unique challenge for modellers of WWI aircraft. One only.
First released on 27 February 2015, this is the Early version of the WNW AEG G.IV (kitset 32034) and contains over 420 detailed parts along with five superb Cartograf decal sheets that not only supply all markings for the five featured options but also four sheets of pre-cut hexagonal night camouflage! On completion this impressive model spans 57cm and as may be seen by the photos of Ray Rimell's model, builds into an exacting replica of this successful WWI German twin-engined bomber.The kit provides a pair of highly-detailed Daimler Benz D.IVa engines that can be displayed exposed or covered by tightly-fitting nacelle sections;multiple bomb load options;optional front gun rings, airscrews and weighted tyres. Also supplied is a tailskid trolley for display plus 17 photo-etched detail parts.Aside from opened polybags carrying the decals and multi-page instruction manual, this is a perfectly mint example of this stunning model.As a bonus an unused set of HGW seatbelts specifically designed for the model are supplied in the box.One only.
Builder's caveat...
Ray would recommend replacing the undercarriage axles with stout piano wires. The model is a heavy one and within a year of being built,the one shown had suffered a major wheel collapse!
