NEW! FOKKER F.I/DR.I Model Special by Ray Rimell/ Richard Alexander

Produced in 2005 for 1:32 scale Roden models, this excellent decal sheet can just as easily be used on the Meng kits of course. We have acquired the very last of these and can offer them in very limited numbers. Markings for Klimke; von Tutschek and Lothar von Richthofen are provide plus plenty of accurate stencilling.

This Cutting Edge 1:32 scale decal sheet CED 32067 ,designed for Roden's Dr.I ,was published in 2005 as the second part of a very well researched and printed pair of limited edition sheets. This one provides not only two forms of national insignia and pilots' personal markings, but also fulsome stencil data. Definitely the best pre-WWW/Aviattic Fokker Triplane decals ever produced. We now have the remainder of them (thanks to Dave Klaus of Cutting Edge) and can offer them here in very limited numbers for Roden and Meng Triplane modellers.

Three iconic examples feature: DR.I 404/17 of Jasta 12 flown by Hptm.Adolf Ritter von Tutschek; DR.I 577/17 of Jasta 27 flown by Ltn. Rudolf Klimke and the Fokker Dr.I crashed by Oblt. Lothar von Richthofen on Jasta 11's airfield in March 1918.The two latter machines are to be described fully in the second volume of our Fokker model series and modellers might note that the upper wing of Lothar's machine was not yellow after all,and its oft-ascribed serial number is now in doubt. Also, a five view colour spread of Klimke's aircraft will feature in Volume 2 which reveals that the leading edges of all three wings carried a deep leading edge band of yellow paint.
