111. Caproni Ca.4
Majestic in appearance and shape, the Caproni Ca. 4 was designed for long range bombing duties. This technically conventional triplane could have made a useful contribution to the Italian war effort ,but over two years were lost in squabbles and sorting out numerous teething troubles.Gregory Alegi's fine study of this giant triplane features over 60 rare archive photos and presents eight pages of 1:48 and 1:72 scale plans, along with two pages of airframe sketches from the Caproni family archives. The study is concluded with end notes, appendices, specifications, colour data and three rear cover profiles. This is a classic reference crammed with unique material on an extraordinary warplane.
